Bountiful Baskets

If you haven't heard about this yet, you're missing out.
But let me fill you in on a few things you should know

1. It's worth every penny!
2. It's all run by volunteers so you have to be nice!
3. It's simply a collaborative way to buy produce so that you can get it for less!
4. You don't get to choose what you get.
(You'll get a basket of fruit, and a basket of veggies.)
5. You need to bring your own box, bag or basket!

Cool huh?

Go to bountifulbaskets.org
to see if there's a site in your area.

You can only sign up on Monday at the time selected.
(They give you til Tuesday but it will probably be full by then)
It may take awhile because their site gets bogged down with a lot of traffic.
I usually have about an hour before my site is filled so be quick and patient.
(kind of contradictory huh?)

Time For A Haircut

I've never been to beauty school,
(although if I get the chance to do nail tech school, I'm taking it!!!)
so I'm not entirely confident as to what I'm doing...
but I thought it turned out well.
I just took clippers with the size 3 and went over his entire head,
then size 2 as I tapered into the 3,
then size 1 at the bottom of the skull.
I thought it made a huge difference that I had a "right ear" and a "left ear" attachment.
They make it easy.
Totally a great look for him and it didn't cost me a penny

Lowest Prices?

I'm on a roll here and it's all about money... but it's just a phase.
It'll pass all too soon and I'll be back on my crafting bandwagon.
I have a bit of a soapbox speech to go on right now.
Walmart tells everybody that they have the lowest prices ever.
Save money. Live better.
We believe it! But, let me take you through my shopping trip just today.

Walmart had grapes for $1.87/lb
Smiths had grapes on for $1.49/lb
price match
Walmart had toothpaste on for $2.38.
Fresh Market had the same size toothpaste on for $.88
price match
Walmart had Braeburn apples on for $1.37/lb.
Macey's had Braeburn apples for $.89/lb.
price match
Walmart doz large eggs were $1.66.
Smiths had them on for $1.50
price match
and the winner of today's shopping trip...
Walmart had 10 lbs of potatoes for $3.47.
Fresh Market had them for $1.29!!!
price match!

I'm saving money...
and a lot more money that I thought...
just by putting in a little bit of effort.
It's worth every penny!

My Favorite Website

I can't believe how many people don't yet know about my all time favorite website. Okay, it's not the site so much as it is the savings
pinchingyourpennies.com
There are so many ways and systems and I've tried half of them but I'm all about simplifying so this is what I've figured is easiest.

I get their emails.
I go through the "new PYP grocery lists
I look at "all stores" on the pull down list.
Click Start
Look at only the 4 and 5 star deals.
Click on whatever looks good to you.
Print any coupons that will help you out.
Go to Walmart, do my shopping, price match everything and
SAVE TONS OF MONEY!!!

Now for the disclaimer (and my true confessions): I'm not a huge fan of Walmart. If I had time (and no kids to carry in and out) I would go to each and every store just to keep the little guy in business. But when that's not an option, I buy into the whole "one stop shop"

I don't get any coupons in the paper. It got to be too confusing and too much to keep track of. I only use the coupons that PYP links to. (which is actually quite a bit)

Good Luck!
Happy Shopping!
and HAPPY SAVING!

Please email me with any questions I'm always happy to help!

Just this week I went and did this and I was really going for minimal stuff. I saved almost $25 bucks!

Legit Work From Home

I can't tell you how many scams I've seen for all that "work from home" crap. It's ridiculous! however, I've found a legitimate one and I'm speaking from personal experience. I'm doing it now!
Textbroker.com
People who are doing websites and stuff, need articles to drive traffic to their websites. (There are a few other reasons as well, but it all comes down to driving web traffic somewhere). Anyway, point is, they don't have time to write all those articles so they contract them out and I simply picked up some of the work.
I signed up at textbroker.com and got to work immediately.
Now, lest you be confused, this is not some get-rich-quick scheme. In fact, I'm only making maybe $5 an hour. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It depends on how fast you type and how fast you can put your article together. But that's an extra $5 bucks an hour that I wouldn't have otherwise made while my kids were sleeping... plus, I enjoy learning about some of this stuff and practicing my writing skills.
I'm not great, but I'm fairly educated.
Honestly, it gives me some spending room to do another craft project!
I'm a fan, check it out if you want at
textbroker.com
Good luck!
