Necklace Holder

As seen in yesterdays post, I'm a Type 3
and with that comes a new appreciation
(and love I might add)
for lots more jewelry
However, you should have seen the way my drawers were looking.
They needed some major help.
So I made this!
I love it... my only concern is that I might need 2 of them

My absolute FAVORITE part is this cute knob!

And the winner is...

I mentioned back in this post...
that I was looking into Carol Tuttle's "stuff"

I've since, purchased her Dressing Your Truth program
(which you can see here)

and I am experimenting with dressing like a...

Type 3 - The Rich, Dynamic Woman
You are naturally dynamic, sure, and purposeful. You have the gift of “action,” and seek to constantly move those around you forward to a desired outcome.

I'm so not ready to post pictures of myself because I don't want to ask my hubby to take them,
and my awesome photographing sister hasn't come up yet.

Therefore,
let me tell you the top 3 things that being a
Type 3
is currently meaning to me.

First of all, it means I'm not broken
(That was very comforting to me)

I also think that I feel more confident being me.
I am not as concerned about what others are thinking about me as I am about being true to myself

I'm okay acting on what my mind is telling me to do most of the time...
which is to "get moving"!
I love change and movement and working and playing and filling my day with actions...
lots of them!
Okay... here is one picture. It's the one I sent in to be profiled.
(This is brave of me)
It's RAW to say the least.

Improvement pictures to come...
Then you can determine if you see a transformation.

Who Are My Sisters?

I've been chatting so much about my mysterious sisters lately
that I figured it was time to introduce you to them.

Meet Rachel!
She is crafty as long as it doesn't involve sewing.

Meet Kari!
She doesn't think she is crafty but she is...and she won't sew either.

and last but not least... meet Becky
Becky is very busy with school and her adorable husband
and hasn't been posting cute crafts... but perhaps eventually she will.

Now don't you feel better knowing that next time I mention
"my sister"...
you'll know who I am talking about?

I'm An Expert...

...at putting my computer keys back on!

Can you believe... I put my 3 1/2 year old and my nearly 2 year old down for a little quiet time
on a Sunday afternoon,
and when I went in a few minutes later to check on them,
THIS is what I found!

Just loving this life of mine.

I was able to restore it
thankfully...

and the motherboard crashed (and died I might add)
three weeks later.

Again, love it!

I'm Ready For Change!!!

I married into a great family with 8 sisters-in-law that I absolutely and completely love!
Family reunion is one of my favorite times of the year and this year was no exception. However, one thing kept coming up in my mind. 3 of my sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law seem to have gone through a major transformation. They all look good but these 3 in particular look amazing, stunning and completely "true". My brother-in-law just looks good! (wink, wink)
So I asked them what they've been up to and I've become completely obsessed
(in normal terms... that's just excited!)
with it since then.

It all comes down to Carol Tuttle and her energy and beauty profiling.

I'll let you do your own research because once I get started, I won't stop
but I will tell you this... I'm completely SOLD!

I'm trying to make a long story short and you can email me if you need more details...
I first started reading this book and thought the woman was psycho.

Then I read this book and absolutely loved it!

and you can find out more about that here at

Now I'm ready for this book!

You can check out the details at
to find out more.

I really like her video series called, "Start Living Your Truth & Stop Living a Lie" and I felt they helped move me right along. You can get them here...

I also thoroughly enjoyed her live show here called,

The 4 Types Beauty Panel Gone Wrong!

I'm in the process now of loving what I'm learning, who I am and what I want to be.

Look into it... and tell me what you think!

My Dream Job

If I could have ANY job in the world
I would help people.
I could be a life coach of sorts.
I think it all centers around my love to be needed.
I would spend my days helping people do whatever they needed
(as long as it interested me of course)
like write their resume,
apply for a job,
make a craft,
cook,
clean,
(True story)
sew
paint,
refinish
upholster,
build,
organize,
go shopping...
and the list would continue.
I really am "The Jackess" of all trades!

Feel free to email me if you have a question about something...

Bragging Rights

Who the heck is this "anything girl" chick and why does she consider herself the expert? Well, let me tell you. Besides, it's a good excuse to write down my personal history! J/k
I started sewing when I was about 10 years old. My grandmother was a
"professional seamstress" (No Joke!)
From there, I went to school in interior design, however, I didn't finish before I switched to
Home Economics Education.
I taught Jr. High for 5 years during which time I worked closely with every age group from kindergarten through high school. I taught sewing, Teens N Teaching (peer tutoring), cooking, interior design, child development, job skills, resume writing etc... I then married and had two kids
(way too close together... they're only 15 months apart!

During all this, I've worked at every craft store I could get into. Provo Craft, until they became Robert's Craft (and I worked at 3 of their stores), Zim's and Michaels Arts and Craft.
I'm still thinking that someday I'll try Hobby Lobby
I got into my own business where I did custom upholstery and home decor

I can sew anything.

Through all of this, I've learned what I'm good at, and what I'm not so good at. I'm totally a spatial person... as well as a visual learner. I can see it once and then the shapes start moving in my mind and I can rearrange them and figure out how they should fit together. In addition to all this, I'm an open book... I'll tell you ANYTHING! I've done almost every craft out there... from quilling, to crochet, to glass etching, to tole painting and anything else you can come up with.
If there's a mistake to be made, I've probably made it and I can save you the trouble of making the same one. ... and THAT is why you should listen, to me!

Please... email me with your questions.

Blog after Blog...

I can't even count the number of blogs that I keep tabs on. Always watching the latest projects, gathering inspiration and ideas, etc... sometimes those blogs discover a project, long after I've finished it. It hit me over a year ago... why don't I do a blog with all of my projects?
Inside my head there is a voice screaming...

This is me! This is what I do! And I have something to offer

So for those of you who may become followers, thank you in advance. I hope I truly do have something to offer.

The Jackess

"Jack of all trades, master of none" is a figure of speech used in reference to a generalist: a person that is competent with many skills but is not outstanding in any particular one.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_of_all_trades, _master_of_none

This is totally me. It's catchy, and my dad got a kick out of it, so I started a blog called The Jackess. However, not everybody felt that it "rolled nicely off the tongue". So, I will continue on with The Anything Girl and hopefully tie in some of my self-proclaimed Jackess-ness throughout.

Thus I give you

The Jackess

A "Jack of all trades" in the female form.
