Necklace Holder

As seen in yesterdays post, I'm a Type 3
and with that comes a new appreciation
(and love I might add)
for lots more jewelry
However, you should have seen the way my drawers were looking.
They needed some major help.
So I made this!
I love it... my only concern is that I might need 2 of them

My absolute FAVORITE part is this cute knob!

Cute Deco Balls!

My cute little sister has got skills!
She just came up with this cute deco ball!

 Isn't it adorable?
She just used ribbon and created the whole rosette looking thing.
Love it.

Cheap Earrings

I found packages of these cute (but fragile) shell things
and they already had holes in them.

I bought 2 packages so I'd have 2 of each color.
(They were .75 each thanks to my favorite store in the world... Hobby Lobby!)

Then I bought a few rings and the loop earrings. A set of needle nose pliers and a few minutes later
and look how cute these are!
(I actually got 9 pairs of earrings out of 15 minutes and less than $3.00)
Lots more jewelry to come!
I find a great deal of savings and satisfaction come from making it myself.

24th of July Cuteness

I absolutely love the entire month of July. I get the 4th and the 24th
and I love the patriotism,
the red, white and blue,
the people,
the fireworks,
the parades
and the corker bows!
This time I added them to my little girl's shoes and I just can't get enough!

4th of July Decor

My sister did these cute decorations for her ward's 24th of July party!
They were a great addition to the tables and I thought she did a great job!
Our styles match up in so many areas because she likes to keep things simple
I like it simple... just with a little more flare!

Start with these cute blocks... just a simple cut and a drill...
then paint them up all patriotic like!

Then Mod Podge cute paper onto the stars.

Add a little ribbon for pizazz...

Add a flag...

And there you have it!

The Stars and Stripes forever!

Blooming Baby Shower

A few of my friends and I threw a baby shower
for our other friend Jo who just happens to be having twin girls.
How exciting!
We made it a "Bloom" themed shower as it is spring and she is blossoming in her own right!
We gathered our inspiration from my favorite blog...
makeit-loveit.com
and we had a great time doing it as well!

We made our layered dessert cakes out of boxes wrapped in cute wrapping paper and then lined them with cupcakes, rice krispies, strawberries and brownies. Served it all with lemon water and waa-laa!

Thanks to all the help, we also made some super cute diaper cakes to start off the gift table!
Thanks to Michelle's expert diaper wrapping skills, Emily's bow making skills and
Jennie's generosity in providing us a site, it all turned out so cute!

We topped it off with bloom bottles! All of the flowers we decorated with were made into hair clips for her little girls so the decorations were one part decor and one part gift
How fun!

Decorative Balls

Love these.
I took 3 different size balls and covered one in clear stones
one in ribbon, and the other is split peas
(The split peas one is my favorite but they take sooo long to do!)

They are a great compliment in my daughter's room.

Cute Rings

I didn't post this before Easter because I didn't want my family to see them.
I made one and then went a little crazy and
made one for almost everybody I know!
They're super fun and super easy
and you can see the tutorial here.

 Fun huh?

However, I did learn a thing or two...
Don't mod podge it before you put the elastic and ribbon on.
The hot glue will fall right off.
Next time I'm going to try painting it and mod podging it
after the whole thing is already glued.
