Maybe I'm too confident, but I figure that if somebody else can do it, so can I.
I had this beautiful dresser from my dad BUT
it was golden oak
(not my fav)
and it had rounded edges
(really not my fav)
So I took a router to the edges,
added some trim, primer and paint
(don't forget to sand... a lot!)
filled it in with wood putty
and I now have a piece that I love!
(I'm still debating if I can fill in the middle of the drawer front with some type of
wood putty or plaster, and actually put handles on it.)
